The beach of La Joya is a mixed nudist-textile beach, a short distance east of Torrenueva, in the province of Granada. The 300 meters long (with an average width of around 25) beach is surrounded by orchards of fruit trees and very little traffic.
It offers dark and thick sand and crystalline waters of deep blue that are rarely agitated by the waves of the sea.There are wooden and paved stairs that facilitate the descent to the beach, you have to keep in mind that there are more than 200 steps.
This is a very popular area for naturist recreation, you also get a few clothed bathers too.

- Directions La Joya is immediately after the urbanization of Torrenueva Costa approx seven kilometres east of Motril and there is parking. Access to the parking area is from the N-340 near the 339km point.
Enter the road that leads to the farms and a largish parking area. The start of the path is on the first corner on the right as you drive into the parking zone. There is a sign saying La Joya beach. Park the car here. You walk up a few steps then along a couple of minutes then start on the descent down. There are some magnificent views of the cliff.
