The ocean waters of the Northern Sporades are some of the clearest waters in the world, making virtually all of Alonissos a safe place for swimming. Vithisma beach situated between Marpounta and Megalos Mourtias is another wild, rustic and beautiful beach made up of shingle and dark sand (be careful as they can get very hot during the warm summer months).
Quiet and relaxing, Vithisma beach is ideal for couples or nudists. The waters are clear and calm and warm with the odd rocky outcrop which makes snorkeling interesting. The sunsets are truly wonderful.

The road is very step to start with but after a while it becomes a pleasant walk with occasional pockets of shade. Follow the road towards Marpounta until you see the hand written sign for Vithisma up a dirt road to the right (this is ok for non 4-wheel drive all the way to the parking area above the beach). Follow this road till you come to a lamppost with Vithisma Beach written on it and a parking area. On foot take the road down to the left then the first right and you will find a steep path leading down to the beach.
