  • Description : San Gregorio beach is privately owned, admission charged nude beach. Reported to be the oldest continuously active naturist beach in the United States, which dates back to 1967. Situated near the town of San Gregorio on the San Mateo County coast south of San Francisco. San Gregorio beach is the largest of approximately 20 clothing-optional beaches along the coast between San Francisco and Santa Cruz.

This privately-owned operation is not to be confused with the state beach situated next door. Stay in the nude section north of the "Hazardous Surf" sign, don’t venture too far south of the beach access or you might run into families or state park rangers that can give citations.

This long clean but narrow beach offers you two miles of soft sand, caves, cliffs, driftwood and grassy bluffs along the coast. People build up private spaces by building up walls using the drift logs.
