Praia de Afife has been a blue flag beach since 1987. Located on Portugal's northern coast, near Viana do Castelo.
Enjoying 3,000 meters of high surf beach Praia de Afife is surrounded by a protected natural park so there is no construction around but instead, it is host to large dunes and fine white sand and is regarded as one of the cleanest and most beautiful beaches in the north of Portugal.
Water sports enthusiasts frequently come to this beach where surf and body-board events often take place. Although not officially a nudist beach, naturists do flock to the dunes on this beach which always has the feeling of plenty of space. Tip; The sun is intense here as shade is limited, bring a parasol for your comfort.
