Playa Caleta del Congrio offers turquoise and crystalline waters and a huge expanse of soft golden sands with plenty of space families, couples and singles alike. Those wearing swimwear and those choosing to embrace the nudist option of which there are plenty.
Located in the South of the Island of Lanzarote Playa Caleta del Congrio is part of the Natural Park Ajaches there are a series of wild coves known as Papagayo beaches which consist of seven coves which the park presumes natural: Papagayo, Puerto Muelas, Caleta del Congrio, Playa de la Cera, Playa del Pozo, Playa Mujeres and San Martial. All of the beaches are a mix of naturist and textile and are connected by paths through the dunes and hills. One pays a small entrance fee for the park.
Caleta del Congrio offers a huge expanse of soft golden sand, which is embedded in a spectacular rocky backdrop of rough volcanic rock, and small caves. The turquoise and crystalline waters are very calm as all Ajaches.
Thanks to the clarity of its waters, snorkeling is one of the most recommended activities. There are also other types of water activities such as kayaking, excursions by boat and stand up paddle.
Caleta del Congrio was once intended exclusively for naturists, but today you will find the beach is also shared by many textiles especially in the summer months where they mix quite happily. Out of season it becomes again mainly enjoyed by naturists.
