There have been reports that Naturism has been discouraged here, we would love to have reports of what the situation is.
Golden Sands Beach known locally as Turtles Beach, is known as the island's most beautiful beach, and is referred to as the birth place of Aphrodite (Venus), the goddess of love and beauty in mythology.
At the beginning of beach there is an information sign “Nude sunbather can be seen beyond this point” The clean and golden sand stretches for near on 1.5km & the sea is crystal clear.
The main beach area near the cafe is textile and the nudist zone is on the far right end of the beach about 300 meters away from the main entry to the beach where there is a huge sand dune. There you can shed your clothes comfortably as none of the locals or families bother to walk there and you hardly encounter other people.
This beach is very suitable area for first time naturists, because it is very quiet. This place is paradise for naturists, you can swim, sunbathe au natural without any disruption. Be watchful of the caretta turtles which visit the beach to lay eggs, hence the local name given to this beach.
