Welcome to Tablero Hills: your naturist escape near Maspalomas
Hi there! We’re Marcial and Roman, a couple both in life and business, and lifelong tourism enthusiasts. A few years ago, we embarked on the adventure of finding our perfect home in the south of Gran Canaria.
We wanted it to be close to the famous Maspalomas Dunes, near all the lively attractions of the area… but also in a quiet neighborhood that would feel like home.
That’s when we discovered El Tablero de Maspalomas. And what started as a search, quickly turned into love at first sight.
This charming neighborhood is right in the heart of the southern part of the island, part of the MASPALOMAS COSTA CANARIA area. It’s home to some of the most famous destinations in San Bartolomé de Tirajana: Playa del Inglés, San Agustín, Meloneras, Sonnenland… and of course, our beloved El Tablero.
We’re just 4 km from the Maspalomas Lighthouse and Dunes, but also right next to beautiful hiking trails like El Salobre, Monte León, Ayagaures, and the stunning Fataga ravine. You get the best of both worlds here: beach, mountains, city, and pure tranquility.
Although El Tablero is next door to the tourist area of Sonnenland, it still has the vibe of a residential neighborhood with a local soul, home to around 6,000 residents. This means you can live peacefully, without sacrificing convenience: supermarkets, bakeries, shops, bars, terraces with great Canary Island food, and prices that are way more reasonable than the touristy spots in Maspalomas.
Got a sweet tooth? You’re in luck! La Reina Golosa, a famous patisserie adored all over the island, is just 25 meters from our house. (We may or may not have visited it a few times too many 😅).
Want to stay healthy? No worries! The sports center and municipal pool are just around the corner, and if hiking, biking, or just enjoying the outdoors is your thing, you’re in the perfect starting spot.
Our home: a dream come true
One day we stumbled upon two houses under construction, right in the heart of El Tablero. We decided to merge them and turn them into something special. That’s how La Casa TableroHills was born: a spacious, cozy, and welcoming home designed to be shared.
We installed a saltwater pool (8 x 3 meters) and planted cacti both inside and outside the house. Over time, they’ve grown into mini trees, giving us shade and privacy all year round.
When it came to decorating, we drew inspiration from those charming B&Bs we’d stayed in during our travels in Australia, South Africa, Canada... We wanted to create a home that was built for relaxation and enjoyment… and we did just that.
Naturism? You bet!
At first, we only offered the option of wearing clothes, but more and more people wanted to enjoy the pool in the buff. So, little by little, we transformed the entire house into a naturist-friendly space. Honestly, being naked among friends, in such a beautiful setting, with perfect weather all year long… it’s a pretty special experience.
What’s La Casa TableroHills like?
Ground floor: This is where you’ll find the living room, kitchen, and the space where we serve a delicious breakfast every morning. Plus, coffee and tea are available 24/7.
Upper floor: Here, we have three double rooms, each with décor from our travels. The rooms are named Africa, Asia, and Oceania, and they all come with comfy 160x200 cm beds, AC, a TV, and the same amenities you’ll find in the others. Perfect for unwinding and recharging.
Garden floor: This is where the Arabian and Mediterranean rooms are, both with private bathrooms and direct access to the garden and swimming pool. There’s also a small gym and an infrared sauna to help you unwind after a busy day.
Out in the garden, we have La Pergola, our favorite spot to relax, have breakfast, dinner, chat, or simply enjoy the fresh air.
Plus, we’ve got high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the house (so if you want to work remotely… naked, feel free 😄), beach towels, umbrellas, and free bikes.
Want to hit the beach? The bus stop is only 50 meters away, and the ride takes about 10 minutes. Prefer to rent a car? You can park for free right in front of the house.
La Casa TableroHills is adults-only with an optional naturist lifestyle.
