So true abya.C people sadly do see clothes as a status symbol - both in superiority and also in groups. Whether it is a crown, a white collar worker or a gangs "uniform." From the medicine man to the red carpet designer label dresses.
I think for me, in my mind, clothing always had to come along but I like to imagine that it could have existed along side nudity. Yes wear a hat to say you are top of your clan, or wear a fur to deal with the harsh winter - but undress again when it is warm and don't worry about breasts and genitals. It is that part of clothing that I wish had not come about the part where we wear clothing to ensure specific body parts are not seen - despite the fact tha we wear clothing to also enhance and show off other body parts. This is the side of clothing we should never have been drawn to.
