I spend 99% of my time at home naked and it's just normal for me.
My ex wife had friends who used to video chat with her and they were just use to seeing me suddenly wander around in the background with nothing on.
Society has a thing, well a lot of it does, that being naked is a sexual thing and because of this it's 'weird' or 'strange' if you wander around naked.
I was speaking to some female friends recently and they said they'd love to come along to the local naturist swim but they were worried about what their friends would say.
I have heard it said that the biggest prison in the world is worrying what others will think. Thing is, it only matters if you care what they think. But in reality most people seem to accept it no problem and a large number wish they had the fortitude to do it themselves.
As regards video calls, my wife works from home 2 or 3 days a week. I do try to be marginally careful when I walk in the room as ofter her zoom calls are international. I know in reality most kiwis won't care if a naked person appears in the background but I'm not sure the same is true for some other nationalities.
Personally I've long since stopped worrying about being seen naked. At the end of the day I'm naked for me. Occasionally I wonder about collateral damage by association.
Agreed, Grahame. The only reason I avoid being close to windows and fetching deliveries from the porch naked, is for my wife. She's fine with my nudity, but she doesn't want to take a chance on chilling a relationship with the neighbors over such an issue, which it probably could. So, it's my respect for her that guides my behavior.
I've always put my lifestyle on the table up front. We do live rurally and I guess you could see into the house from the street but it would be a stretch. Most of the people in the area know we live clothes free. The nearest neighbors chat quite happily wether we are clothed or not. I guess it helps that no law is being broken. Last time I heard of someone making a disparaging comment it was the neighbors who stepped in to defend the lifestyle.
