Steve. Agreed. The world is getting weirder.
As to the 'christians v nudity thing; Corrie Ten Boom's father is quoted as saying that a mouse being born in a cookie jar doesn't make him a cookie.
There have been many in history who have gone by the label of Christian, who are not; there are also very many who are sincerely Christians but are largely ignorant of the Scriptures.
Nudity is one topic that modern society has pushed to a ridiculous end, and rather than taking a moderate and Scriptural stand on the issue, the 'church' has largely followed the crowd. As a result, its leaders, even many of its most prominent leaders and commentators, have swallowed the kool aid instead of searching it out for themselves.
Being a Christian doesn't make one right. When we as Believers take our stand with 'cultural christianity' instead of Biblical Christianity, it only demonstrates ignorance and magnifies our need to go and study our textbook.
I'm editing to add a note here: Re the issue of being 'made in God's image v nudity', I once wrote a forum topic here addressing that issue, and I do not know any longer how to find it. I wish I could repost it, because I tried to cover the topic thoroughly. In brief (no underwear intended), the Bible saying God made us in His image has nothing to do with the physical. It has to do with the spiritual, which was violated when the first man and woman rebelled in the Garden and introduced sin and death into the world. It is that spiritual image that God reclaims through the atoning death and resurrection of Christ.
It is not nudity that violates the image of God in us; it is behaviors, which are demonstrated worldly and daily by all of us, whether clothed or unclothed. Why would God, who created the human body, be concerned with whether we're naked in the shower, on the beach, or walking in a shopping mall?

Oh yeah. Here it is... 😊
Sam it wasn't this Blog Post was it? AWESOMELY AND WONDERFULLY MADE https://anaturistworld.com/member-blog/46511
There has been no Forum topic removed about such a theme, so unless it was in the ANFamily days... the only Topic is found the came close to touching on this was https://anaturistworld.com/forums/topic/251/would-intelligent-alien-life-wear-clothing
I think an awful lot of people use their understanding of Adam and Eve and The Garden of Eden as an excuse to suggest nudity is wrong. But it is purely an excuse to back up their own issues. This is one of the problems we face in naturism and in life, people are always looking for excuses to back their own failings. In reality for most Christian naturists it seems like their naturism is part of their celebration of the beauty of their God's creations. And why wouldn't they? It certainly makes sense to me.
When I was at school in the 60s / early 70s it was the norm (in fact it was demanded, there was no option) that you change in a communal changing room and shower naked with your classmates after games or PE. Of course that was single-sex only. Over the years after leaving school and taking my young children swimming etc., it became obvious that fewer people in public pools and sports centres were comfortable with doing this, so they tended more and more to shower in swimwear and change in a cubicle, so they were never seen naked even in single-sex changing rooms. Occasionally I felt uncomfortable and went along with this out of not wanting to be seen as the weirdo, but mostly I stuck to showering naked and changing in the communal area at public pools.
Fortunately, most of the times I took the kids swimming was in naturist sessions and venues anyway, where it wasn't an issue, and they're all adults now, so I haven't had the experience of public showers and changing rooms for many years, and I'm happy that I probably will never have to again.
I remember that I didn't like showering naked with my classmates at school but that was only because other kids were horrible at times. That's probably always going to be the same, so I certainly have sympathy with kids today, even ones brought up as naturists, who wear underwear and shorts because everyone ese does and they don't want other kids making fun of them. It's a shame but it's hard to know how to change that until kids become adults and have the self-confidence to just do what they want regardless of what others think. I very much doubt that any schools nowadays have kids changing and showering naked in communal changing rooms - it would probably be all over the Daily Mail 🙄
