I find it do odd that so many do not want to be educated on this. We can all be ignorant of things simply by not encoutering them in our lives.

 

Years ago I have vegetarian friends, a couple, and when I first visited them had no idea what they'd eat that was meat free. I learnt from simply visiting them over a period of 15 years and eating with them, a whole range of meat free alternatives to the point that im now very happy to have a meal in a vegetarian restaurant. 

Same applies to transgender. A male friend came out trans and has transitioned into a woman, from the word go I refered to her by her new name and used female adjective. I asked her lots of questions about it all that she was quite happy to answer as I was open to being educated on the subject.

But socitety does not seem willing to learn when it comes to naturism and we need to see how we can counter act that to make them just sit down, fold their arms and shut up whist we get our point across, instead of all the paranoid panic induced hatred of anything to do with it.

As for the kids I don't get this bit. They're your children, not mine, or anybody elses. How you raise them is totally your business as their parents. Whether you're naturists, vegetarians, christians or supporting man united. why do people seem to see fit to dictate that because they would not raise their children as naturists you should not either.

When we had the naturist swim protests in 2019, some were saying 'we must protect our children', but they're not YOUR children, they're THEIR children, and nobody has a right to stop parents raising their child in any legal way just because they would not do the same.

If this subject could just be depoliticised, then there would be a really great chance of opening up naturism to as it was in 2018, and allowing all those who taking the lead from a higher power, to return to as was.

We see so many posting about this organised event, or that event, but none of them are following the lead of ANW, and actually writing and posting useful information. Without education, naturism will never be understood, and as we have identified, and we do feel rightly, there is not enough effort going into driving a facts based approach to promoting naturism.

If we could just get naturism to see, it is from within naturism the problem is coming, and by using the facts, we can change popular opinion, but it cannot be done from behind a sign that says "ADULTS ONLY" That is where the real frustration lies, lack of inside confidence.

We have just written our next H&E article and we tackle the adult only situation again and fight for families - this time based around education - that the programme Naked Education showed certain issues within society and  "Naturist Education" helps to confront those issues. We wrote about families only two months ago in H&E so I hope they do not see this as a reason to exclude this one. After all  families with under 18 children are the majority in the UK and we seem about the only people willing to write about it in H&E and so hopefully they can see there are readers out there that may be interested. 

Anna has written that although four years ago we could blame the protestors for creating an issue around families in naturism today we must look at naturists themselves. It is up to us to educate the world of the benefits of naturism and that it is suitable for all including families.
