Over the weekend AI has been in the Newspapers again with Sir David Attenborough "profoundly disturbed" by AI use of his voice to attach his reputation to words he would not wish to voice. At 98 it would be nice to believe that he has given enough to the real world without being abused by those that flourish within the pretend world.
We have already discussed the reasons we feel AI images have no place in ANW and have touched on some of the dangers within AI. Such as AI information being used to shape the ideas and thoughts we share as humans. In the year 2024 do we really need Artificial Intelligence when we are already in some ways maybe too intelligent for our own good and need to practise the use of human intelligence in dealing with our abilities and strengths rather than fall into deeper traps dug for us by AI. Humans have always had a tendency to follow the crowds and act like sheep. Does AI not simply encourage us to become more dependent and narrow minded?
Naturism is about free thinking, human logic, natural instincts. Real intelligence needs to be encouraged to allow aspects of life like naturism to be given a chance. Surely AI will just constrain our points of view and offer us controlled and filtered knowledge with real human depth, analysis and understanding. Information easily controlled and manipulated by the agenda of those that give us AI.
In this topic I would like to discuss if we actually need AI at all. What good it can do and what harm it can do. How should it be controlled and maintained? Can it be controlled? Should what is happening to David Attenborough and others be allowed? How do we know what is real and fake?
We want Naturism to Get Real. But how about the rest of the world? Is AI encouraging us to lose a little bit more of our humanity in an over growing world of fakery?
AI, is not more intelligent than mankind, so let’s break that myth, and it certainly is not emotional, and has no ability to feel, or empathise with man. It is data driven, and is the sum total of those who have programmed it, which admittedly comes from sources such as “Capcha.” You know the little set of photo boxes we tick to prove we are not a robot? How ironic, a robot decides who is and who is not human!
It is said to be “self learning,” but in essence, it is more akin to a garbage can, as piles of data are dumped into it, which it then sorts out and files away with key words to be retrieved at will. Humans are not unsimilar, we have the ability to learn from masses of data, but where we differ, is we can learn also from experiences good and bad, and attach an emotional state to it, which AI cannot. It simulates, nothing more, we would say in the same way a psychopath is capable of expressing love using the right words and actions, yet is incapable of feeling said feelings and emotions. Knowing the words does not make it real, love is a deeply felt emotional state of being for a human, but not a machine.
What few understand, and is actually one reality of Rob’s world, is that AI is the biggest plagiariser on the planet. Rob is writer, that is his trade, what he puts on paper comes from the heart and the depths of his imagination, based on his lived experiences, so all of his work is original. AI sifts through the piles of information on the net finds what is required, and then lifts it in order to put together a passage or piece of work. Every aspect of that work is lifted from the creativity of a living human in small sound bites, and then is cobbled together by the AI to create an coherent piece of work, in other words, it is stolen material, which the author is not paid for, that is disguised to look like an original piece. The same goes for art, poetry, film, or music created by AI, all of it based on what is an original human source, in other words, it is human based plagiarism. The owners of that work, are not consulted, never asked for usage, and most certainlt never paid for its use, AI steals whatever it wants.
AI is a machine that uses the fastest possible algorithms, which makes it the most advanced data filing system on the planet, and within that we feel there are dangers and flaws. AI is programmed by individuals, and so therefore is not independent, and that is our worry when it comes to naturism. Currently the social narrative on social media is anti naturism, which is to a degree written into the source code of social media platforms, under the guise of combatting porn. We ask, how long will it be before AI becomes anti naturist, right across the board?
We all are aware of how large multi national corporations use body negativity to sell large amounts of products, we all know how they manipulate the media in order to keep people enslaved to a negative body image for profit. Trillions of dollars every year are made is massive profits from promoting and selling slick cures to enhance image, and all whilst being promoted using AI to sell to those caught in the fear of their own flesh, mainly due to the fact their daily lives are dictated to by social media posts that tell them they are not good enough. How many times have we been told, we are weird, perverted, not normal, or freaks for enjoying social none sexual nudity, we say it is natural, they say it is wrong? It has not happened by accident, the narrative was agreed years ago by media giants, sat around a table in board rooms all over corporate media, how long will it be before one of those meetings decides, body freedom is bad, and the men who program the AI, are told to reflect that?
We are bloggers, as are a lot of ANW members, and here we have the freedom of our thoughts and words to express our joy of being naked, on ANW we are not ruled over by corporate giants. Outside of this website, we are, as is being seen currently on Facebook and You Tube, two very large members of the Meta and Google giants. Recently, ANW has had posts removed from Facebook, as have the Naturist Society, the Nude Blogger, and many others. You Tube is actively removing Naturist channels, as are Instagram, Oz a member here has had his You Tube channel removed for violation of community standards, i.e., he promotes naked life. The one thing all of these things have in common, is those sites use AI to highlight violations. The robot decides what is fit for human consumption, it only gets the human touch when a human is forced to look at the posts due to an appeal. AI acts without consideration, it flags a post and removes it without reason or consultation with the owner of the page or channel. AI is already attacking naturism, because it has been programmed to do so by those who benefit from body negativity, so we ask, how can we trust AI to be fair?
ANW should remain AI free, if it is included here, it will automatically read everything on this site, and then store it. Neither we, or ANW, own AI, it is owned by those who create and maintain it, so in theory, all it takes is for the owners to make a change to the code, and ANW could potentially suffer massively once it is inside the code. ANW should remain AI free.

We certainly wouldn't let AI into ANW. Naturism is about reality and and ANW is 100% behind the idea of Getting Real.
In defence of these removals on social media, I do wonder how much it is about the "giants" deciding to remove stuff and people having a personal agenda to see things removed. The fault of the "giants" may lie in the fact that they are set up to remove things when people complain rather than checking out the reason for complaints, but we know that we are being victimised not be the likes of Facebook, Instagram and You-Tube but other naturists that do not want us promoting ANW. As it only happens on certain groups rather than across the board and the feedback is that members of those naturist groups have raised a concern that our posts have broken the rules. The fact that they haven't is only something that gets checked afterwards when we complain. The posts are reinstated but the damage has already been done. There are aspects of naturism that are trying to halt our ability to promote ANW and grow ANW. Sadly the complaints don't just harm ANW but also encourage these Giants to consider naturism is something that should be censored and the more complaints they have the more likely they will have a blanket ban. But as we have said before these people do not care about naturism, they care about their agenda. They do not want certain endeavours like ANW being seen to be positively growing, and they would rather hurt naturism than allow us to be successful.
So yes one day AI will probably decide to hate naturism and this will be fuelled by those so called naturists who want to control naturism for themselves and see ANW fail. They are encouraging AI to decide that naturism is not right for human consumption. These are not just enemies of ANW but enemies of naturism and their behaviour I think states that clearly. It is about being self serving and ANW is about serving naturism. Sadly the complaints are done anonymously so we cannot out these people for what they are doing and openly take them into a debate. At least the thugs who protested against family naturist events didn't hide behind an internet curtain!
Beyond naturism what is the answer about AI? We are more intelligent than AI but when we are told what to think and what to like there are to many of us who are happy to simply follow and do it. It is like the Emperor's New Clothes. It is too easy to sway people. It is why there are people on the internet now who are millionaires simply for telling people what to like, or do, or feel. These influencers are dangerous enough, but when non-humans become the influencers then how do we change the trends that are decided for us?
How also are we supposed to differentiate between fact and fiction, truth and lies, real and artificial? For years we have had an issue with "media perfect people" being shown in magazines that make less than perfect people feel lacking. The future can have AI perfection making everyone feel lacking, and all this will do is grow a need for more fakery in human bodies through operations or more humans feeling bad about what they have.
On social media we can have influencers telling people how to vote or who to hate. Sharing lies and gossip. As AI grows the human element can be removed and within moments people, ideas, philosophies, businesses ....can be destroyed.
David Attenborough has a right to be offended by nonsense being shared with his voice. He has spent his lifetime 70 years and more speaking about things he believes in. Whether people agree with him or not he has the right to demand that the points of view that come from him are actually coming from him.
When will the first AI driven assassination happen? Get a celebrity through AI to say something truly offensive and then have them killed for their fake words. We already know that the internet can drive people to hate filled violence and murder. We already have seen internet gossip fed lies destroy careers and standing. Surely AI can rip people up to retaliate against innocent people, surely AI can be used to create riots and even war.
Machines should exist to allow us to have more time for thinking and learning. They should not exist to do our thinking and learning for us and then for us to become the tools of their decisions. AI can become the chess masters and we can become the pawns. Maybe it is time we pulled the plug and allowed humanity as well as naturism to Get Real. If humans/journalists need to do a little more research ourselves when writing an article then that seems a small price to pay, especially as it will result in better articles anyway!
AI is a big topic today - and it is really a revolution. So it is really the question where are the points of control. At the moment I am checking the AI solutions on the market and try to find out more about their "bias" - When you working with AI you know that "bias" is the term for opinion tendencies in their answers (based upon the historic training material which has been used to built up the specific AI). Especially when you ask AI something about nudism/naturism it is very interesting what "bias" comes out.

The Bias of AI is one of the biggest problems, and it is no surprise considering the way we have seen the media manipulated for years. It is an easy leap to assume those who wish to control the narrative are the biggest players in the release of AI onto the internet. Microsoft, Meta, Amazon and Google are the main controlling interests behind AI, and have implemented it at very fast pace into many aspects of day to day usage. Copilot by Microsoft is now running in Windows ten and eleven as standard, and most people are unaware of how to uninstall it, so it is already free to monitor most domestic computers. Meta use it for most aspects of their model, which has allowed them to cut costs and lose staff, and importantly, it has given primary control to its complaints procedure, which is now an automated series of boxes the complainer ticks and AI does the rest. It is only on appeals that a human has any input. This is possibly why ANW and other naturists sites have been so easy to take down, in the initial stages there is no human involved in the process.
Google and Meta are two of the greatest censors of the internet, between them they have been the biggest censors of Naturism and nudity for the past decade, so it stands to reason, their AI will be biased towards any kind of skin being revealed in their posts, which is very evident currently. In a sense, we have seen a similar psychological model applied to Google in particular, that has been used in supermarkets for decades. When a new store opens it is filled with everything at a cheap price, which kills competition and drives the smaller players out of business. In time, the store then starts to reduce its lines, having been successful in drawing all of the people to its store. As it narrows its lines available, people are directed into a certain pattern of using products that the store makes more appealing, and slowly behaviour is changed. This has happened with Google, which in its early days allowed everything through its search engines, and slowly over time with applied censorship, it has become harder to find what you seek, as you are constantly directed towards sites that google deem appropriate. It is the primary reason for so much data collection, once Google know who you are and what you like, they can easily manipulate your tastes, and nudge you away from topics they feel are not appropriate for you, in the same manner as the supermarkets do. In essence, Google does not want you shopping in their store for naturism. When you consider they have been doing it without AI for over two decades, it makes sense to understand, their AI, which is advanced technology, is doing it at a much faster pace.
When Chairman Mao took over China, his primary motive was to firstly win over the young, and he did this through controlling education. He believed, what you teach, will control what people think, which is why the schools were taken over in the early days and millions of Chinese were converted at a fast pace to communism. Today we see something similar with the way schools and universities now control the narrative of society, by influencing the minds of the young. The woke agenda is very university based, and has a very distinct socialist direction, which is why most of our young people are not interested in doing deep research into the actual facts, and settle on narratives that are identical in nature. Companies like Meta, Microsoft and Google have reinforced the narrative, and considering that the young are the biggest section of tech users, it is clear to see how easy it has become to push certain agendas.
Our young today live in terror of the naked human form, they have thrown away the ideas of past generations have embraced the bra again and only reveal skin when it plays into certain narratives, such as sexual manipulation, which has to a degree become a manipulative trend of the young. Breasts and genitals have become taboo, and something no other should see, and when encountered, they are treated as abusive, and deemed to be of a dark and perverted nature. There is clear evidence that AI has been a big part of this, without getting political, but to highlight some current issues, we can see how sexualisation of the body, Anti Alt right sentiment, body negativity through slandering, and support for Islam over all other religions have become big issues in modern day society as we know it. This is not accidental; it is programmed into the algorithms, and AI has been the biggest manipulator of these facts in order to enhance certain narratives and demonise others.
Body freedom, free speech, freedom of thought, have now become topics seen as dangerous, and branded right wing, and when you sit back and look, most of the internet which is massively run using AI tools is censoring what is deemed undesirable, and one aspect of that, is loving the skin you are in. Simple naturism is seen as radicle now, and the only nudity that is allowable is the nudity that generates revenue, of which porn is still one of the biggest earners, and also plays into the sexualisation of the body, especially in the young and fits in with much of the woke agenda, hence it is allowable. An Only Fans type page will still get mass views, because there is money to be made in commissions by the hosts of the sites, but simple none funded naturism is shut down. All of this is now more achievable as AI can search through content at a much faster pace than a human can, and one machine can do the job of hundreds of people without ever stopping for a break or sleeping. Simply put, it is more cost effective to use AI that is programmed with bias, than employ massive amounts of people, who can at times rebel and go off script.
We feel AI is being implemented at too fast a pace, and it needs to be slowed down, because we do feel, that a system without compassion is dangerous to humans. People should be allowed to think for themselves, and live as they choose, and not be coerced into belief systems they do not completely agree with, and censor the way that we see ourselves, leading to some form of Orwellian dystopia. Sadly, we do feel AI will take us down the Dystopian rabbit hole.
