I have noticed that when I last went to the swimming pool, just before lock down, I was the only one naked in the changing room and shower. Other people seemed to arrive with trunks on and then showered with them still on.
It could be that I am older and that we too had communal changing rooms and showers at school, so I effectively didn't do anything different to what I did then.
It looks like a pool near me may doing naturist swims in the summer. They are crowd funding at the moment to raise funds for improvements. I don't think there will be any issue there in the changing rooms !
It does seem that some feel this way Steve.
Do let us know if you go to the naturist swim Appaloosa and maybe message me with some further information if you have any. We have come across signs in swimming pool and sports changing room actually telling people they are not allowed to shower naked. According to our teenager, youngsters today think the idea of being naked in a changing room is perverse. We do have to wonder what the world is heading towards....
I was raised a Christian although I would not longer claim the title. I do however concur that to claim we are made in God's image then decry nudity as evil, does seem an anathema. A or B could be true but not both.
Also true the weird behaviors in changing rooms. I struggle to find the causal reason and the logic. But I think it sits at the heart of media both social and capitalistic. One drives the obsession with appearance and linking nudity with sex. The other the complete fear of being seen as different.
We also have an education system that does not teach people to handle failure, non-conformity or difference. Thus people become little automatons with a fear of being an individual. Regardless of the correctness of their behavior.
